My field of research is Real Algebraic Geometry, in particular, the topology of real algebraic sets. During my Ph.D., I mainly focused on the following open problem: Is every real algebraic set (semialgebraically) homeomorphic to a real algebraic set described by polynomial equations over ℚ?
I am also interested in semialgebraic and Nash geometry, analytic and subanalytic geometry, singularity theory, (applied) model theory and hypercomplex analysis.
